im trying these out now......but at the moment i am most likely going back to the 78.03's....

most games are darker than usual...textures are not quite as sharp as the 78.03 betas.

I'm using them.

Only thing I'm playing right now is Dungeon Siege 2. Looks and performs exactly the same as 78.11 as far as I can tell.

I'm using a Leadtek 6800GT if that matters to anybody.

This set is not good for me...

Battlefield 2 shadow is back
Half life 2 is running very slow
can;t play Doom 3 with more than 20 FPS

so I revert back to DH 76.44

Id say these definitely support mulithreading. Theres an article on one of the techsites that compared this with previous drivers on an Athlon64 X2 4800+ and it seems to score substantially higher across the board. Im looking foward to a final release of this driver after seeing this.

So don't he 78.03's don't support dual core?

I diverted back to the 78.03's...... chaos theory played like shit with the 81.26's.and as for the game intros were very choppy....

Overall quality were down imo....the only games i play that were reasonable were older games such as q3 and wolfenstein....more earlier games were poor.

To me the 80.xx's may need a little more work..

The 78.03's listed dual core support or something on nvidias site but I really dont think they enabled multithreading optimizations. These drivers are MUCH faster and the people recognizing the increases seem to have dual cpu configurations.

the optimisations are in the drivers but they aren't activated

download nhancer and you'll be able to enable a feature called dynamic tiling, in the game profiles,
this is actually the multithreading option

from nv concerning these drivers -

Quote:
NVIDIA's Official response :

“NVIDIA is continually releasing drivers to our OEM partners, ISVs, and developers for testing and evaluating new NVIDIA products and new software applications. This driver v81.26 that has appeared on the web is not reflective of the final driver stability quality that NVIDIA will release, so many of the application problems that users are reporting are a result of alpha driver.

NVIDIA recommends users continue to use official drivers from our websites: NVIDIA.com or nZone.com. These drivers have been thoroughly tested by our QA and performance labs.

Please continue to check back on our websites for new official drivers from NVIDIA that will be released in the near future.”

Why don't they have more offical releases? So they can pawn

betas are unoffically "spoken" but "unspoken" thier offical releases.

When I used NV as my main card you always used betas 99%
of the time and its still that way today. If people stuck to only
the officals NV would lose alot of customers.

they are supposed to be reasing a more mature set in a week or so.
not sure what you are saying. outside of my zp testing i stick with a driver release until a new one comes out that gives me someting i need. & your statement about loosing customers is ridiculous. they just have a different sytem from ati. not saying i necessarily like it, but whatever they call their releases there is still plenty to choose from.
you really need to stop expecting nv to do things the way ati does. they have a different business model & different way of doing things. expecting nv to do its drivers, manafacturing, etc, in a similar fashion is ridiculous. you are not going to be happy unless nv becomes a clone of ati are you?
the more differences between them. the more we the consumer benefit.

These can now be downloaded as whql drivers from TweaksRus....

From TweaksRus.

The only difference in the files that I can see, between these and the other 81.26 set, are the WHQL cert file and a newer nvoglnt.dll. Hopefully, these will fix what ailed the old 81.26 set.
