NVIDIA 77.77 Beta Forceware Driver
Another driver from the 77.xx series of Forceware drivers have hit the net as well. These aren't WHQL certified but come with a very new file date. July 29, 2005 is the date of this release. So if you want the very newest drivers then these are them. Not sure about the performance increases but all Geforce and Quadro cards are supported. Below is the scoop:

Version Notes:
NVIDIA GeForce 2 series and above are supported in this release
Drivers come with a setup.exe for easy installing
No word on compatibility or performance
Files are dated: July 29, 2005

do they have the asus logo? apparentely some/all of these drivers originated with asus. which should not be a problem, just curious.

I can't believe this! I was just about to PM Zardon to see if these exact driversets can be added to the download section since I installed them last night and the mirrors from Guru3d were very slow!!

neither the 7777 or 8040 are custom. unless you downloaded a 8040(&i beleive because of some of the issues with these nobody is bothering to work on them) set from somewhere. the 7777 has not been out quite long enough for somebody to customise it ,so not sure what you are asking.

The 80.40 have dynamic shadow issues with Bf2.

well I mean custom ones that don't have to be on the latest, like how would you compare the 7777 with like a customized one with OC on an older driver?

the best way would be to try that yourself as everbodys comp setup responds differently. download zp 7644 release & compare that to 7777. remember to use dc for every installation.

lol, well I haven';t been using it, I think I should probably clean it then just re-install it, but its fine now, so until it has probs I won't, thanks for the advice though.
