the x850 is in a total diffrent class. a x850 xt pe is close to a 6800 ultra, so u can see how it would be better than a 6800 vanilla.

how much is that ati card? cause if it is anywhere around $400 -$450 i would wait until next month for the release of 7800 gt. this will give you 2 more options - the gt for around $400 & the gtx for around $510 -$520. both of wich are bnetter solutions.
of course you should be able to pick up a 6800 gt for sub $300 at this time & a ultra for $400 or less. both of which are great buys.

Agreed. I have a mind that things that only the FASTEST computers will run games over 60 FPS. However, I found out I was wrong when I went to an internet cafe playing Half-Life 2: Source at 70+ FPS with a 3.0 GHZ Intel and 9800 Pro. Man, I didn't know that card still rocks!
