FX5200 drivers?
Howdy, I'm currently using Omega's 66.93 drivers, but I was wondering if perhaps there was a particular set that worked exceptionally well for 5200 cards. I've read of people having better performance when using older drivers, so I assumed that older drivers may have the same effect on my card. Anyone know of any like that?

newer drivers always give you better performance over older drivers. But what do you want the extra performance for? Gaming, benching, or something else????

Oh, and after trying several of the dhzeropoint drivers, I've decided that Omega's are still better. I continue to notice an increase in performance (perhaps marginally) with the Omega drivers.

Then use the omegas
Our drivers are geared more toward the higher end cards (the FX59s and the 6x00s) since we put our emphasis on image quality...if you want flat out frame rate, Omega is definitely a good alternative.

if you can, get a higher end video card. like even a 5700LE would be MUCH better over what you have right now.

Well useally newe driver are better some drivers are or maybe better then others for certain games. New drivers useally have more bug fixes and so forth.... The newer
drivers are the ones one should use unless thier haveing a "problem"
Not meaning to be rash but i'm going to put it blunlty. Thats one of the worst NV video cards you can get and I don't see drivers impoveing that any.If you can an can afford to you really need to upgrade your video card. even older card like the much older 4200TI lays absoululte waste to the 5200. Stay away from the 5600 and 5500 as well they are just
faster or o/c vesion of the 5200... ... 5700LE that was reccomended is better but with
it low clocks not by to much...
If you game i'd be looking into a 6600 that start at around $130
that my two bits....

(BTW: 5200's are 128bit or 64bit, there is no such thing as a 256bit 5200)

Yeah, I'm planning to get a new card in the future. Unfortunately, I'll need to get an entire new motherboard to be able to use the 6600GT (AGP) I plan on buying. It's near $200, so it may be a while.

But hey, if anyone has an old AGP card lying around (a good one, preferrably) and is willing to sell it cheaper than usual, lemme know.
