Newer drivers or modded drivers befefit old cards?

Hi, I have an old geforce 2 mx and I stopped updating my drivers at ver. 30.0 or something. I figured that the newer drivers are mostly optimized for the newer cards and that if anything it might slow down my gaming. With the release of these new modded drivers called zeropoint which comes installed with many tweaks I'm wondering if I'd benefit from downloading new drivers (newest version of nvidia site I guess) and mabye even the zeropoint modded drivers. Every fps matters for me.

Thanks in advance.

We try to squeeze all the performance we can while maintaining or surpassing Image Quality on as many different versions of Nvidia hardware as we can.... That said there's only so much to be gotten from a GF2MX, I don't believe we have any beta testers with that card so I cannot gaurantee results you would get from our driver, but if you feel like trying them, let us know your findings.

When I still had my Geforce2 MX, I always updated to latest drivers. You get new features like nView and some bugfixes and optimizations on 2D, GDI+ and stuff. I mean, this is a video card you buy, not a "Game" card.
