quick question

Hi guy's i'm fairly new to this forum so I am unsure if this is the correct place to post this but I am a proud owner of a BFG 6800 GT / OC so i figured I'd post here heh. anyhow, I have 10k raptor sata drive that i use for my OS and games that i play freaquently and i want to run the best and I also play EQ2 which tends to use the swap file quite a bit... I also have a WD 7200 rpm as my second drive and it is on IDE, I was wondering where the optimal place for my pagefile would be and since i have 1.5 gigs of 2x2x2x5 corsairs, I would like to know the optimal size of my page file also... info is greatly appreciated thanks!

there are a lot of differing opinions. with that much ram, you could have no pagefile, put the pagefile on the second drive, have multiple pagefiles, etc. You would need to try different things and see what is best for you.

if you are using xp, just let it manage it. xp, unlike previous vers does a great job.
if you have to fiddlle with it just set the size to 1 gig & forget about it. unless you are using photoshop or something similar then let xp manage.
