Help with my GeForce FX 5700 LE n HL2

no matter what drivers ive tried, official... omega... any ones recommended on this site i cant seem to get HL2/CSS to run past 20 fps. i have a P4 2.0, with a gig of ram... and i went and bought this 180 dollar card just to play HL2.. however, it seems i have wasted my money. Can somebody give me a driver that will work, or help me get a decent 60 fps. -im not to farmilliar with all of this so ill do anything if explained. thanks alot guys-

Ok well the Card isn't the best for HL2... I have no Idea for drivers.. I'd say the newest official or U can try their new betas. Don't use aa or af, Run the game on either DX 8.0 or 8.1 and try 800x600.... Mess with the video settings like med quality or something.

and i wish i could buy a new card but me and my family are going thru extreamly rough times right now and definatly cant afford it... we fighting to keep the eviction letters out of our mailbox.
