Sorry, but your post cracked me up for some reason. (In a good way, laughing with ya not at ya.

It's a weekend, it's slow. Some people don't like to spend their every free moment in front of the computer I guess. (Weirdos!) It seems quiet all over the net today if it's any consolation, not just DH. Methinks it's a conspiracy...

I got the new Riva > great as usual! (I gotta send unwinder a couple $$$ one day)
|
Yeah, me too. RivaTuner is an incredible program and the only tweaker I use, I loves it whenever it gets updated. BIG props and thanks to Unwinder, as always.

I dumped the 40.71. It was awful for me. SLLLOOOWWW!!!! Back to the 40.52 & lovin' every minute of it! Carries the same frames as the 28.32 (fastest driver for me) & the IQ is extremely nice. Glad Alex (unwinder) got Riva to driver oc on these new ones.

The whole 40.xx series just seems a bit glitchy to me on mine. I gotta agree on the IQ though, the 40's really got the eye-candy DOWN!

Have you tried the NV30 emulation in power user for the 40.xx's?
|
The who, the what, the where?!? I just discovered the "optimization" button in the anisotropic section in D3D and am getting happily confused with it... (What the hell is a rendering stage anyways?

Does Riva work w/your 8500?
|
Yup and the new Riva works with the 9700/9000, but only for the low-level stuff. It doesn't do any driver tweakage. (But it OCs my 8500 really sweet, I like low-level better than driver level even though I can't explain why.)
Surprisingly tasty! They worked really well on Bubbles, I posted about it earlier
in this thread over at Elite Bastards. Basically they're quicker & stabiler for me, but the still got a lock-up problem with the NOLF2 demo for me.

Lemme know plz, I'm kinda burnt on testing.

WHAT?!?! You weirdo!

After reading your post I'm gonna go and try out the 28.32 set again and see if it locks NOLF2 up on me.
