Default Post Not signed in directX diagnostic tool !?!

Hey Y`ALL ! Just dll. new Nvidia 40.52 video display driver+its working O.K. Now my question is I don`t know if my mobo is right for this driver ! In "system info" theres a "DirectX diagnostic tool" in which on the right side sits main driver section. In Main driver section it says SIGNED : NO ! Now my sound is signed yes ! Is this driver match properly with my mobo ????? INFO- my stats are this Win98se,explor6,Pent3,Genuineintel model8 stepping6,Acer lab.ALi 1631 1.0/ controller ALI M5229 PCIbus master IDE controller, systemboard model 0123abc . If this is wrong driver for board please lead me in right direction ? Just a rookie here. Thanx in advance Den

40.71 isn't signed either

This means they have not yet been WHQL ceritfied - and the Win9x drivers may never be, as Microsoft do not certify them for an OS they'd like to see dead and buried - not sure if WinME drivers are still certified - but that won't be for much longer.

It's nothing to do with the driver being "right" and more to do with tedious test procedures which also ban "overclocking" features and VSYNC disable.
