NVIDIA ForceWare 61.77 WHQL

NVIDIA has now released their newest set of drivers, just a few days after their last official release, with the 61.77 Forceware drivers.

Release Highlights:
-Add support for GeForce 6800 series
-Complete support for NVIDIA PCI-E GPUs
-Consumer electronic display support for DVI-based digital displays, such as widescreen plasma screens (CEA/EIA-861B)
-QuickZoom – ease eye strain and enable ergonomic computing with easy Windows magnification
-Updated application profiles allow users to assign multiple profiles for each application
-Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0c and OpenGL® 1.5 support

Download: Win 2k/xp

Update: These are now in the Nvidia section of our Driver Server

Also for the AMD64 bit crowd we have added the 64 bit version of 61.76 Detonators for your downloading pleasure

Guess there must have been a slight problem with the 61.76 set. Dunno what though, can't find anything mentioning what has changed in the .pdf release notes.

am using ti4200 right now, with omega's latest drivers, is it advisable to update my drivers to this new one from nvidia?

this enables dx9c...without using an inf mod. that's basically it.

you wont benefit at all from newer drivers as they are mainly just working on stuff for the new/current cards. as yours is slightly older, you probably wont see too much of a difference in them.

The drivers are WHQLed?? If Used With Microsoft Official Release Of DirectX 9.0c

nVidia have included the DX9c reg tweak in the INF them selves.
The only real difference between 61.76, probably some small bug fixes as these drivers are 3 days newer then 61.76.

both win98/95/ME and the drivers for 64bit were down yesterday upon posting.

The drivers are still down (just looked to check)

BUT, I have the 64bit driver (61.76) over at my place for anyone interested (see signature( hope I'm not treading on anybodies toes here))
I don't have the 9x drivers as I deal in Win2k/XP only (no way of testing older drivers)
It's only 13.44MB down from 25MB over @nVidia (using our very special compression techniques with no file loss)

The nvidia drivers are available from our nvidia downloads section guys including the 64 bit drivers

The only nice thing i noticed is they added a dualview to the nview setup so now i can watch movies on tv at a different resolution as the desktop.
