Auto Refresh/blackout on Gainward 5900...

the "blackout" problem that i am refering to is like out of sudden, surfing net or running OS, it just like change resolution..
Eg: like from 800 x 600 to 1024 x 768 there will be a blackout or blank screen then the image will be black

but i am getting this like once every 2-3 mins while i am surfing the net, chatting or etc..

the funny thing is this does not happen when i am playing games like warcraft 3 or NFS underground..

i am using abit kr7a mobo , leadman 300w PSU and gainward 5900 non-xt version.

Tried to reformat windows but still have same problem.

one point to note is that it only happens after i install the force ware 56.72...when windows cannot detect the drivers, the problem doesnt exist

and each time before it refreshes itself, my pc will like freeze then after the refresh it's ok...

installed latest 61.40 drivers also same...

i also ensured that my monitor to gfx cable is secured.

u guys got any idea what's happening?
