Graphics disappear/transparent in BF....help?

Okay, this usually happens on large maps, but on Battle Field 1942, Desert Combat, the land and sky will sometimes turn all gray, all white, or just disappear. I can see the people and tanks behind a mountain, for example. This makes gameplay quite hard.

I have the 52.16 driver atm....dont want to upgrade unless I have to. Dont want to make my problems worse. The only thing I can think of is that I did a system restore a couple days ago....however the restore was only to the previous day...it was the same driver.

If any of you know what to do, I would be happy.

from what i remember, the 52.16s arent the greatest drivers...(havent used them in quite a while)

just restart in safe mode, remove them with "Add/Remove Programs", and then download and install new ones. you can either get 56.72 from NVs website, or the Starstorm 56.72 (which i use, and they're great. look for a link in the other thread).

you could also use the 53.03s...those are another set of nice drivers.
