I don't have any resolutions below 800X600
Hi installed the nvidia 41.09 drivers, which seem to be the only decent drivers for my card which is a evga geforce 4 mx 440 SE, but i don't seem to have any resolutions below 800X600. I know this sounds silly, but i play counter-strike with 640 X 480, can someone please help me it would be greatly appreciated.

if you have winxp you cant go below 800x600, however in the game you should be-able to set it lower, if not change from 'software' to 'opengl'?? just a few ideas to toss into the mix, good luck.
edit: did you say you run counter strike with 640x480?? my moms computer can run it higher than that, what is your reasoning for doing this? |

because i've been playing like this for years, i swear i had 640 X 480 displayed before i might just be going nuts, i tend to be doing that lately lol. Aight thank you

aight, well yea i am aware that i can change it to 640 X 480 in counter-strike, but I use to have it so the monitor refresh rate was 100 without using powerstrip, but i don't want to use powerstrip due to my horrific computer and it just lags my game.

on my system 640 X 480 is available but the instant it gets changed to any higer windows yanks the option or when i insall drier they by defult rase the resolution .... The only time i can get it to come up is to pug in a 15" montior then it does the same thig if i mess with the res...
there is a way to force xp to use 640x480... go into device manager, update your monitor driver, install from specaifc location, chose dont search, uncheck the show compatable hardware box, chose standard monior types, chose std vga 640X480, next, (click ok if windows propts), finish , then reboot |
