Re: GeForce/ION Driver Release 190.38 WHQL (Win XP)

I am using these now and so far they are very stable. Performance is about the same (I wasn't expecting huge differences), and I can't say much about the IQ.

Will test some more games later.

EDIT: World of Arenacraft had a nasty crash, but I'm unsure as to whether or not it was related to the drivers. I have to check it out.

EDIT #2: I guess the issue was Warcraft related, every other game I've tried these in works great. IQ looks pretty good as well, but not sure if it is better than the last WHQL set.

LesserHellspawn is on a distinguished road

AW: GeForce/ION Driver Release 190.38 WHQL (Win XP)

Something is wierd with the thermal management of these. I'm used to seeing 60° C idle temps on my two 9800GTX, +- 2°. With the 190.38 drivers I'm seeing idle temps as low as 55° C, but also as high as 65° C. Load temperatures are still in the 75-80° range, as they used to be, so it doesn't seem to be a sensor error.

Edit: Ok, seemingly the fans don't spin as fast as they used to right after booting up, hence I'm seeing idle temps up to 65° C. After running a game that really taxes the cards and heats them up to 75° C or higher, the fans don't slow down as they should, that's how I'm seeing idle temps as low as 53° C now after gaming.
