Hello there,
i got the following problem,
I put in my system a G-force 4 MX440 64MB card, and when i boot, i see indeed its 64MB, but when i come into windows, and run DXDIAG it say's me to have only 32MB!

it's a problem that i've seen a bunch of people have.
generally, installing/reinstalling the chipset/agp drivers from your mobo's website is a good fix.
other times, switching your 'memory usage' and 'processor scheduling' options around, then flip-flopping them back has helped. (in xp, right click my computer, select properties, advanced tab, performance settings, advanced tab)
lastly, if you have more than one stick of ram, switching their positions around has helped.
hope you get it squared away!

well..
how long has it been going on?
did you change anything around or insert any new hardware recently?
have you tried reinstalling directx?
what os and service packs do you have installed?
does it happen with all drivers?

I just got the card, and put it in my machine, so sinds yesterday its going on, i wassnt able yet to get it running on 64MB on my machine!
Reinstall Direct X didnt made it work..
I have windows XP corp prof. edition +SP1 with Direct X 9.0a
And i tried more drivers, but all only give 32MB
Before i had a hercules 3d prophet 4000XT 64MB in this machine, what runned perfectly on 64MB.
I have a Jetway mother board,with VIA KT266A chipset, Model name V266B,
i use only 1 stick of 512MB SDram 133MHz, all drivers are up to date, inc. agp drivers etc!
I tried update my bios also, but some how i am not able to find the correct bios update file, i've downloaded it from Jetway site, but when i try update it say it aint the good bios... (Dont know if a bios update would help or not, cause at boot it does see its 64MB)
Many tnx in advanced for your help!

have you tried turning write combining off?
it's on the 'troubleshoot' tab of the advanced display properties window for your video card..

that's about the extent of my help. if the card is still under warranty, then i guess your next option is returning it and getting a replacement. unless of course someone else can help..

duh..just thought of one more thing. if you've got an intel-based motherboard (intel chipset), then try uninstalling the intel application accelerator.

perhaps u could try a game that needs a min of 32meg ie splinter cell, bump the options to high see how it plays if u get loads of problems ie slowdown etc u might have a card only running with 32meg as the rest could be faulty?
