WildmanX is on a distinguished road

8800gts ssc 640mb 320bit

I have instaled the new physics drivers and new driver 177.83. Tried running an old game bf1942 converted to desertcombat. After game loads and runs for about 4 maps the computer crashes. Physical memory dump. Restart system play another 3-4 maps graphics start going blocky. Try to shut game down and computer hangs. Unistalled 177.83 drivers down graded to 177.79 but to no avail system still crashes. Uninstaled 177.79 and reinstaled 175.19 with no physics system as smooth as silk. I would think nvidia would have a resolution to this but have not a fix yet. Anyone else with this type of problem would be greatly app. Updated bios from 702 to a 804 still same situation with physic's drivers and 177.83 and 177.79

chill man its only been 2 and a half hours.... and not too many people use physX drivers

anyways... have you tried the system without physX as the core probably cant handle it as is....

i think anything older than the 8800GT cant run PhysX without some kind of BIOS flash

Welcome to DH man.

According to nVidia the 8800GTS is fully supported.

Did you make sure you fully uninstalled the older drivers properly? ie No remnants remained in registry or anywhere else.

It's running on my system without any problems with 177.92 (177.92 includes the 8.08.18 PhysX System Software)

Have you tried 177.92 as it was released just a few days ago (August 26)?
