A grave mistake on my part.
Just an hour ago i caught site of these Omega drivers. IN SPIITE of Nvidia Condemning these 3rd Party drivers i went ahead to install them becasuse their benefits seemed well beautiful. Before i did so I was prompted to uninstall the original drivers frolm the Add/Remove Programs tool. I did not remove Ntune, nor the Monitor. I removed the Program labeled as 'Nvidia Drivers'. However after rebooting the PC after removing these Drivers Windows Logo Load screen would conclude and A I'm faced with an Ever Lasting Black screen. Please help because I WOULD be devastated if I have to Format the harddrive and reinstall windows.
Here are my specs:
8800 GTS 640 mb
AMD 5400 ~3.06 ghz
Corsair 2 gigs 775 Each
300 Gig Barracuda Harddrive
Nvidia SLI 590 Mother Board

The black screen is AFTER installing my drivers or just after uninstalling the nvidia drivers and rebooting before installing mine?
You are not clear in the problem.
What where the steps you used? (one by one)
Have you tried booting in Safe mode?

Second question is what type of monitor and what connection you have (this is related to an issue with no display on DVI on newer drivers)

have you tried booting into safe mode? if so, try uninstalling those other applications. if you can't, then try running the windows repair (not restore) so you won't lose any information.
also, does your motherboard have onboard video? if so, be sure to disable the onboard video solution from your system's BIOS.
not sure what else there is to try. nothing else comes to mind right now. i'll post if something else does though.

You sure you didnt uninstall all nvidia drivers, ie, the nforce chipset drivers and your storage drivers? You have to just select the display driver when uninstalling the GPU.

Hah, yeah I had that problem (uninstalling all drivers when I only wanted to uninstall the graphics ones). Nvidia really should make it more clear that you will be removing ALL of their drivers and this is not a good idea.

actually.....NVIDIA has made it that easy. when you go to uninstall the drivers they give you the following options (assuming you have an NVIDIA based chipset motherboard and video card).
- Remove all drivers including display
- Remove all driver except display
- Remove only the following:
- chipset driver
- network driver
- display driver

Whether or not it is an option I have still made the mistake of uninstalling the chipset drivers from there setup utility to try different sets and my system would not boot again. It sounds like that is what happened to the thread starter.

i don't understand why it wouldn't boot up again. they're only chipset drivers. booting into safe mode and uninstalling then reinstalling/upgrading the chipset drivers is the best way to do it though.

Maybe it depends on the chipset, ide or raid config, driver package, etc.? Either way it has happened to me and others around the net.
