Forceware 167.26 And XP 32Bit

I have been reading outstanding performance comments about this driver. Some report the best 3dmarks scores and in game fps scores ever experienced with any NVidia card or driver release!!

So, I went and downloaded and installed this driver from: TechConnect Magazine - ForceWare 167.26 leaked

This is a fixed driver version that yeilds no installation errors.

Because of reading of these outstanding driver performance comments from tweakforce.com forums, I had to post about this driver here.

This driver seems to run great for me as well, however, I get bad graphics glitches, (or whatever I'm experiencing is called) with this driver in HL2 EP2.
What I'm experiencing is a flashing in rocks, on the bridge, and on some characters when I play EP2 using this driver.

I wish NVidia will release an EP2 optimized version of this one because it is a nice driver, otherwise, so far in my experience.

It seems the best drivers to use for Ep2 is the 163.75, and 163.76 driver releases. They are optimized for EP2, and the game looks very good using either of those driver releases, Also, there is no flashing rocks and graphics glitches that I notice when using either of those driver releases.

So, go try out this new 167.26 release, and let us know here what you think about it?

Cya all around.

I don't like the fact Rivatuner can't overclock with it, RivaTuner version 2.06 may resolve this shortly/hopefully.

As a matter of fact, the graphic problem I'm having using this driver can be seen in this video: YouTube - HL2 artifacting

Hi you GPU overclockers:

This is what a user with the nick snout from another forum said about getting rivatuner to overclock the GPU when using this driver:

"Well i can get rivatuner to work now - just dont edit the nvapiusage behaviour to 1 for shader control. Leave it blank gives you access to normal core / mem overclocks."

I have a GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB OC card, but I dont overclock it, but maybe this info will be useful for you that overclock.

I decided to uninstall this driver because of the flickering in Episode Two. I wwwnt back to a optimized version of the 163.76 beta release. I'll just wait and the next Nvidia beta driver release may be more stable, esp. for newer games. I tried what you said BluMak, but I still got the flickering. Thanks for the suggestion.

I hope this info is helpful for somebody.

I visit other forums, but DriverHeaven is my forum home, and I really appreciate you all!
