Nvidia Omega Drivers 1.4345 for 2k/XP
Yep, the new drivers based on the official ones by nvidia is out, this is the info I can remember:
New in this version (1.4345):
* Based on the Official 43.45 drivers. (9x/Me/2k/XP)
* Support for new cards: GeForce FX 5x00 and Quadro FX x000 (9x/Me/2k/XP)
* Added the new Nvidia taskbar utilitie. (9x/Me/2k/XP)
* Updated the included Omega utilities to their most recent versions. (2k/XP)
* Removed a tweak not used in Dx9. (9x/Me/2k/XP)
Remeber:
I release drivers based on the official drivers ONLY, Why?, because I would be releasing drivers every week if I where to base my work on the beta leaks, that's why, so don't E-Mail me asking for releases based on BETA or LEAKED drivers, it won't happen.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:
As some of you already know I lost my Hard Disk recently, and with it ALL my drivers database, including the installer source code, I had to do it new, from scratch, so if you run into problems with the installer let me know FAST, so I can fix it.
Also, if any of the sites that provide MIRRORS to my drivers are reading this, I lost your MAIL info in the process, I need to reconstruct the mailing, so please contact me at ONCE to add you again to the mirrors list and to the mailing group.
Go get them here (mirrors provided) or just go to Driverheaven's Downloads section.
Enjoy!

omegadrive I don't know what you did with these drivers but they are
by far the best drivers I have ever used! They make the IQ in my games
unbelievable. They are faster and smoother then any driver I have used
to date. Thankyou for these awesome drivers. they make playing my games

I found a small problem...
but had figured out how to solve it...
I do use Nview often, cloning the screen to a tv....
I also use Re Force on my 19 inches monitor so i could get 100 hz on the refresh rate...
somehow with this drivers by default....didnt had any chance to reconfigure the Resolution & refresh of the TV out.. (not the one of the monitor)
so... by default...didnt got any cloned screen...because of the refresh limitations...(cant get 100 hz on TV OUT on a TV)
but i found how to get around this
solved doing this...
I`ve selected the TV screen as the only output (the monitor image went off)....changed the refresh there....and then retried to do the "clone" setting of the Nview...
that way worked flawlessly...
now i have the main screen on my monitor with 100 hz of refresh and the TV OUT with 1024x768x32b and 60 hz of refresh..

Thanks for the drivers! This is the first time I tried your drivers and it works perfectly well! Hmm... One question though, the readme says not to enable anistropic filtering.. As it's not necessary and will cause a big performance hit... but ignoring the performance hit, will enabling it increase the quality any further...? And will it change the settings you made? Thanks in advance .

GeForce Go not available...
I'd really like to use your set on my laptop, for I already use it at home on my Radeon8500LE. (thanks!)
The problem is that the Go series isn't available in the drivers.
Is there any hope to see them added?
Thanks again for your wonderful sets!

Also 43.51 is better for my older geforce 4 mx. To bad you don't use betas and leaks. You still rule! Also once I get my site up and stuff can I be a mirror to help out.
I went back to 43.51 also I get lots of probs with 43.45!

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the 43.45 drivers myself. I still use the 30.82 drivers.
I like the omega drivers, however, I lose a lot of performance when I use the quality settings...~20fps in quake3.

Once again, I'm disappointed with these
drivers. I've tried 3 of his driver sets during the last 2 years and every one of them offered a poor substitute for nVIDIA's official drivers. The Omega 43.45's are no different. At least on the games I tried (Grand Theft Auto 3, Splinter Cell, Unreal 2, and Deus Ex), the games looked worse than on the official 43.45's. And this was on the "Quality" setting of the Omega 43.45's. I don't know why I kept giving Omega drivers a shot but it's no more for me from now on.

just installed. been using 4109"s. used quality setting. tried it in ut2003, d.s., & war3. iq was noticably better. hell, my desktop even looks better! is that just me or what? best of all i gained an average of 32 in 3 runs of 3d mark 2001se! thx!! anybody compared these to 4351's yet? i am more into visual quality than raw speed. can not imagine those new 51's giving me a better deal than these omegas.

I believe I didn't see an improvement in IQ cuz I was already running the official 43.45's with aniso and Quincunx AA. Also, I had set the digital vibrance settings to my like which I prefer over Omega's vibrance setting. Once the new Detonator comes out, I'm gonna uninstall the Omegas.

are you refering to the 'wqhl' drivers? does adjusting vibrance mess his settings up?

Sorry for the confusion. What I meant
was that before I switched over to Omega's 43.45, I was using nVIDIA's 43.45. And, I had Aniso and AA on. Additonally, I had set the Digitial Vibrance setting to low vibrance which gave all my games a quality look.
Now, Omega tweaks the colors in his set too. What I am saying is since I was already used to a tweaked color setting, seeing Omega's color tweak didn't impress much.

does'nt take much to confuse me
must be a fairly large difference between 4109 & 4345. sounds like you had similar settings to me. the omegas still gave me much better quality. could also mean something was screwed up in my 4109 setup. anyway, i am really like these omegas. still interested in a 4351 comparision.

Hmmmm........Well I am tickled! The 43.45's are excellent. Much brighter better colors and higher FPS in UT, True Combat, Aces High (Fighter Simm). Haven't seen a down side yet. As was said before, even my desktop is better
Thanks Omega!
I got tired of the New Driver/Day, New tweak Utility/Day, Mad Onion "Rat Race". Omegas give me the Install and Play feature. They are always High quality and give great performance.

i use riva tuner for low level overclocking & setting refresh rates. do not think using it for brightness & gamma should be a problem but i would ask omega to make sure.

I still recommend using 43.51. There way better for me atleast.
I can't wait until newer det drivers to come out to see what people thing of omega than to compare with detonator FX (50.00)

you posted that you use the 4351 because you had problems with the 4345. did you try the omega vers., and if so what did you find the difference in iq to be. i do not think users of g4 & below are going to see much, if any benefit from these drivers. think they are designed with the fx series in mind.

mike2h, I think you are in the wrong track there...
My drivers are tested with a GeForce1 DDR 32MB and an MX400, that's all, no fancy FX or high end cards, only value ones, "IF" they are better on high end cards is questionable, as I try to squeze every bit of speed for low end cards and THEN I add the quality options for more powerfull cards (the quality settings where tested in a GeForce Ti500 from a firend).
BTW, for all of you, I'll be updating the drivers using the 43.51 version soon (or at least when I have some free time), so don't worry.

sorry if i was not clear. i was refering to the non- omega drivers. imo there is diminishing return in using newer drivers with older cards. i have 2 computers & have owned nvidia cards exclusively since tnt2. right now i am running a g3 & a g4 4400. i usually only upgrade evey few drivers & do both cards at the same time. over time i have noticed the "diminishing returns" effect. newer drivers are more optimised for newer chipsets.
