the article came out shortly after the 50.XX buzz was swarming. i remember the article saying that 'an official driver will be released later this week.'

everyone just assumed that they'd be the 50.XX set..

I installed then but they say that all these dll's or something are bad images so it does not work. It say in the installed that it is installing 2000/XP drivers so it should of worked but did. That sucks!

Someone should look in editing 50.06 so it works with other computers and os's. You know what I mean?

Those are for 64-bit OSes - meaning, they will not run on current, "normal" OSes, which are 32-bit

Are you a super noob? You don't have to check because you should know what you got when you bought your computer or when you bought your os!

You can't. You need a 64-bit CPU (like the AMD Opteron) for the 64-bit WinXP.

64 bit = computer can handle 2 to the power 64 bytes of memory. That is a LOT.
All current desktop cpus (except the Itanium and Athlon 64) are 32 bit, which means that the data bus is 32 bits wide, and they can handle at the most 2*power*32 bits=64 TB of memory.
No P4s are currently 64 bit, all are 32 bit. The only 64 bit microprocessors on the market are Intel's Itanium/Itanium 2 and the new Athlon 64, which can also run 32 bit programs.
