ForceWare 97.28 Xp (2000 with modded inf)

Station Driver have Gotten thier hands on Forceware 97.28 for Windows XP

these drivers are made for Geforce 8800GTX and GTS

you will need a modded inf to use it on Windows 2000 to unlock the classic cp (sedona isn't compatible with 2k)
or to use it on any card other then the G80 series

Download Forceware 97.28 for Windows 2k/XP

modded infs available here
http://nvnews.net/vbulletin/showpost...31&postcount=9

note... pass it on that the inf at in guru3d's pack is broken,.... the modder is a noob and hasnt seperated the Nv3x stuff and nv8x stuff.

it should. it is the 97.xx series drivers, which are intended for the 8800 cards.

@ link: Is there an actual link w/further information other than the nvnews one?

Drivers that use modified infs don't work well on my pc.... Thats what i want to know before i try these out.I don't want to waste my time removing the drivers just to find out they won't install.

Are these pre-modded or not.Seeing as the is little info given before hand.Appart from the nvnews notice for win 2k?

The zeropoint drivers work fine for me.

MIG, just continue using the 97.02s then until the next set of officals are out for the 8800 cards, or until the next most reliable beta drivers are available at least.

you mean the 93.71 whql drivers which i'm currently using...

i don't have problems with Beta drivers, and i always try out new releases.....

Modded drivers are the problem and it turns out these do need a modded inf...

Also to add i don't have a 8x series card,read my system specs.... (7900gtx).

Ill be avoiding these.

what problems do you have with modded drivers?

i know the guy who mods these.. hes not a hack like mobilenvidia,.. he goes through the inf with a proper file compare to make sure nothings missing.

i never used 93.71.. i used 96.89 though.... really messed up drivers those are.... (monitor would flash at startup.... unrelated to the flashing that occurs on older and some newer chipsets, system started locking up, ETHERNET CARD UNINSTALLED ITSELF :O,...)

yeah.... forceware 90 just doesn't like FX cards... 92.91 is ok for me...

i've noticed though power dvd 7 doesn't like to let you modify the brightness when hardware acceleration is enabled.. like PDVD6 did... thats lame.

Every Game stutters frequently when i have used a modded driver,Regardless to what release version.the is no problem with official nvidia betas or whql signed drivers.

As all drivers act differently on all pc's i avoid modded drivers for that reason.

maybe its the crappy optimisations that mobilenvidia adds to his infs?

i can 100% say that the inf is clean, it only has the stuff in it that is required to install,.. not those extra settings and crap... (except some cancelled out hklm keys with a ; in front to prevent then installing..)

strange that you get stuttering,.. but you are very right:P different drivers, different pc's... end result is different.
