Big problem with 91.47 drivers
Hi folks:
I have downloaded and installed the latest 91.47 WHQL drivers for my little Nvidia 6200 AGP card. The problem begins when I try to play any kind of video (whatever extension it has: .mov, .avi, etcetera). Then the system turns extremely slow, almost completely freezed, with the display refresh almost freezed too. This problem affects my computer since I tried to install the 91.31 drivers and all the versions that came from that point. The problem solves when I uninstall this 91.47 drivers (or any other version that I mentioned before) and turn back to the latest drivers that were installed before (in my case the 84.21 ones). I'm really worried about this problem and don't have any idea to solve it to have installed and working ok the 91.47 drivers (with no freezes on the computer and playing video without any problem). I have unistalled any codec packs that I had on the computer to see if this fix the problem, but the problem is still there, so it seems not to be this the cause.
If someone can help me I wolud thank you so much.
I wait your answers. Thanks in advance.
Greets.

91.47 Nvidia drivers suck
The new drivers are really unstable, my screen flickers and my monitor starts to turn off and on. Now my system is crashing and getting bsod's with nv4_disp problem. So I'm going to be using older drivers. Nvidia and ati now have drivers that suck.. wave of the videocard wars are looking great eh guys? Buy a expensive card just to find out you get bad drivers that crash your system so you have to get 3rd party drivers with people that actually know what there doing.

Well Fobis, I have not tried to clean the old drivers with DriverCleaner Pro, so I will give it a try. I have nothing to lose trying.

in case neither of you is aware, standard issue for installing new drivers is to uninstall in 'prog access & default', boot to safe mode & run newest vers of dc plat, reboot & install new drivers.
i am always playing with drivers, my comp would be a mess without this method.
elgris - uninstall both sets, follow above steps, & install wichever driver you decide to go with. if you go with the 9147 & still have problems i would highly rec going back to something in the 80 series. i would give the last ZP 80 release a spin.
just remember to go through the 'steps' each & every time.

Well, finally I have unistalled all nvidia drivers, used Driver Cleaner and installed the 91.47 drivers and... sadly it is still working very, very bad. It seems to be some kind of incompatibility with some on my computer. I don't have another explanation. But I have followed your words and installed an 80 series driver and works fine till now.
Thank you all for your help.

did you chx out your psu?
i am using nv 9291(with9371 nvapps.xml file for dual gpu support for nwn2). the 9137 also worked fine.
do you use DC between installs? i would run uninstall your current driver, DC pro in safe mode, using the cabcleaner 1st then clean all nv gpu realated files 2x. then install 9291 or 9137 & dont mess with multi gpu/multi mon settings - at all - 7950 is twitchy about that.
if that doesnt work i would rec getting a psu in the 500 -550 range with multiple rails.
if that dont do it id say the card itself has issues.
let me know how it goes
