Problems with nvidia 6600 GT

Hi!

At first sorry for my bad english ;-)

My Problem: After 2 years of ATI-customer I had to change my graphic card because of a defect. I formated my hard disk and installed the drivers of the motherboad an chipset and so on... Then I installed the graphic drivers Forceware 84.21 but now I have big problems!

For example, when I scroll on a page with many pictures, it "hangs"... I mean it is like the CPU is overload or so... I checked my hard disk with anti-virus software, I never had such trojan or so... It must be a problem with the drivers!

Can somebody help?

Hmm, that's really weird. Have you tried a different versions of ForceWare drivers? Try that (and be sure to use DriverCleaner in the process).

Yes, I did that... I also tried the new Beta drivers... then I tried the zeropoint drivers...

One question: When I install the drivers, do I have to install the VGA drivers or the graphic drivers at first?

Normally I installed the VGA drivers with the Motherboard CD, then I installed the graphic drivers

i apoligize if this question seems stupid, but have you checked to make sure your chipset drivers are installed? The part you describe of scrolling down reminds me of when i don't have my chipset drivers installed...

Good luck

I only have that problem when the nvidia drivers (that come with the card) haven't been installed yet.
