Virtual PC drivers for VGA
i 'm trying to setup windows 98 on a virtual machine using virtual PC ,
the problem is that , it identifies my vga card as a S3 trio , 4MB pci card this is too crappy , for i want to run games on win98 machine any help to identify my GPU correctly ?

It might be your virtual machine program causing that problem.
But you've got to remember that virtual machine software was not made to be able to play games on it, so you may not be able to do whatever you're planning. However, you can try to force install the drivers for your video card on your virtual machine. But again, it may all be in vain.

so do u know of a virtual machine program to run old games ?
my big concern is ..freedom force which i backed up long ago and the CD is too bad to work so it wont work probably on XP SP2 and the fix wont be installed for some reason or another .. any help ??

Virtual Machine programs aren't designed for games. They're designed for office programs, etc.
Have you tried forcing the game to run in compatibility mode? And what is exactly is your problem with the game CD? I don't understand. If it's not good enough to work on XP SP2, what difference will it make on a virtual Windows 98 machine?

what i have now is a zipped backup on the hd , the cd is too scratched and it wont work .and i tried to run it in compatibility mode ..
it runs , but after the menu , u really dont see anything ..only sound .. i tried to install older drivers (61.xx) & then the newest , still nothing
