Technical-Lapse is on a distinguished road

.....What the hell ?

Well, I have a weird problem with my nVIDIA 6600 GT graphics card. Whenever I install the latest nVIDIA driver, which is now 84.21 I guess, my games lock up . The hard drive activity just stops abruptly. But, when I use the drivers that shipped with the GPU, everything seems fine, and there are no lock ups in any games. The drivers that shipped with the GPU are archaic, somewhere in the 60s I think. So, whats up with that ? Is there any solution to this or do I just continue using my old drivers?

P.s.

I'm new to these forums, love the layout of it all. Hoping to post lots.

Did you make sure to use DriverCleaner Pro in safe mode after you uninstalled your original set? Entries from your previous drivers mixed with the new drivers might be causing the crash.
You may also want to try out the DHzer0point tweaked drivers.
