Anyone know when the next NV beta is going to come out? I might try these, but not if another one is going to come out from NV in 3 days...
Also- how do save your game profiles? Man, every time I clean the drivers and install new ones, I lose all my game profiles. that is so damn annoying. Even if I don't use Driver cleaner.. and uninstall just via control panel, and choose to save my profiles, it still does not save them..
That's the only real Pain in the ass thing about NV drivers.. constantly having to re- setup ALL my profiles after I tweak them all to perfection. I guess I will have to write all the settings down manually in a .txt file or something.. lame.
I would like to try these though.. need to figure something out w/ those profiles first. Are they in a file somewhere that I can plug into the new driver files? Or does it exist only in the registry?

Yeah, I could never figure out, either. XD But ATi Catalyst Control Center does the same thing... I have to reconfig that every time, too. Pretty annoying. bleh

your game profiles are savd in the registry at least certain tweaks for certain games are saved in the registry.
That said I never use the game profiles so I've never investigated it in depth, I'll see if I can figure something out for our next release.

That's cool- because I have a few games I play- and always need to re-configure the profiles every single time..All that stuff should be stored in a .txt file or something so you can plug it right back in to the new drivers.

I have a GeForce Go 6600... however, when I go to install the drivers, it goes through quickly, follows with a request to restart... and, well, the restart's made.
To my disbelief, the installer lied (How typical) and it didn't exactly complete - it didn't install drivers at all! (No wonder it was quick...)
Now, I restart to the same type of window I was at before, except worse... it couldn't start my hardware because of invalid registry keys. So I go to manually install the driver using the .inf, and there aren't any Windows XP valid driverset information in this file for my graphics card.
So... time to go back to the old ones, so much for the full mobile support.

Crap I'm sorry ExitiosuS, Can you please post your DevID so I can make sure that it's included in our next release. I will also talk to pieter over at laptopvideo2go who helps us out with the mobility cards and see if it's a fault of ours or not. and I will have full mobility support ASAP. AFAIK that card should be the only one with any mobility install issues as I've had no problems with other mobility cards. but thanks for the heads up and we'll get it fixed.

Thanks evo but does that file get updated as you change profiles to suit yourself, I know it's there as default settings for certain games if you use the profiles...

Right click on My computer-Properties-Hardware tab-Device Manager-Display adapters-Right click on the adapter-properties-Details and that will give you your device ID. If someone knows an easier way go ahead and post I just always use that way.

I've gone over the Device detection portion of the Drivers and if your Device ID is NVIDIA_NV43.DEV_0148.1 or
NVIDIA_NV43.DEV_0144.1
The Card is supported, why it's not installing is another story are you using Driver Cleaner in safe mode after fully uninstalling your display adapter in regular mode to clean out all vestiges of the old driver?

Well, under the Details tab there's also a drop down menu, so I'm hoping what you're referring to is detailed as "Device Instance ID"...
Immediately after, in the open space I believe what you'd be looking for is:
PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0148&SUBSYS_22951584&REV_A2\4&216 C7707&0&0008
Hope that helps!...
Well, I guess for my sake I hope it does.
Love your drivers, just stuck with the last revision until the next! (Any ETA? )

I am new, and am interested in trying your driver. However, I got the same message for my 6200 go. "this driver does not support windows xp".
At first I thought I did something wrong, but this is on the second try after using driver cleaner both times. Don't know what's wrong.

Hmm, we didn't run into this issue in Beta testing so I'm looking into it right now, If you guys wouldn't mind grabbinig the 8361 driver set and let me know if you recieve the same error? I have a clue of where the error lies but if the 8361 works then I can update the set very quickly and I apologize for the problems. That should not have gotten past the beta phase and will not happen again.
