Hmmm, no WDM support for X1900 users? So what are X1900 users supposed to do? Do we still have to install that stuff from the CD (yuck), or did they just forget to add the X1900 to the release notes?

Note: The ATI WDM Driver Install Bundle contains both the ATI WDM Driver versions 8.20 and 4.07. The setup program automatically detects the ATI All-in-Wonder® or ATI VIVO™ product installed in your system and installs the appropriate ATI WDM components.

The WDM version 8.20 is installed on:
· All-in-Wonder® X1800 Series
· All-in-Wonder® X800 Series
· All-in-Wonder® X600 Series
· All-in-Wonder® 9800 Series
· All-in-Wonder® 9700 Series
· All-in-Wonder® 9600 Series

Looks like a pretty useless driverset to me. Maybe thats why they are out so early there arent any performance increases (remember those?).

I'm still getting terrible FPS in FEAR at all settings on full . How did the reviewers get 200+ FPS maximum?! It's completely unplayable to me...

Zardon - can't rate the drivers until we test them out more. Just installing them isn't a good indicator, and it takes time.

I would like to know about the promised fps increases for X1900 users. I see no mention in the support page about 1900 speed increases...
Unless I'm missing something CCC seems exactly the same if you're an advanced user.

And it's getting real irritating ATI hasn't done anything about the 3D Refresh Rate Override. I can run 1600x1200 at 100 Hz... and CCC still limits us to 85 Hz. It's annoying... still having to switch it manually for every stinking game.

First time ever (in like 3 years) that the uninstall did not work right. I got an error, then it tried to uninstall anyways, and it left all kinds of driver stuff. In fact it still displays in normal X1900 mode after uninstallation (and it no longer exists in add/remove programs).

I'll use drivercleaner to clean it up... but if anyone else uninstalls please post if this happens to you too.

No shadow issues to fix in the first place, the fable shadow issue was fixed last driver. Only other thing left is the FPS performance with shadows enabled in NFS:MW and that may or may not require a game patch.

BF2 blocky shadows a driver issue? NOPE
NFS:MW blocky shadows a driver issue ? NOPE

None angle dependant AF filtering, and only X1x00 cards can make use of the functionality

I don't know why it is only limited to 1X00 cards if there are people including myself who can clearly see this option whily running x800 cards.

To answer your question, yes, that's normal.
All X9100 cards use the same core. The only difference is between a vanilla to Pro or XT is the coolers, clocks and probes so it's normal that it picks it up as a "member" of the X1900 family.

Did you install the updates?

Found out all the problems with freezing and slowdowns was do to the updates, not installing them lets the game run fine.
