the newest Omega/plutonium Drivers aren not bad I had much fun to play with those drivers JK2 on Full Details, but under UT/Tactical Ops I got framedrops(OpenGL 1024*768) to <12 FPS that was not so good... .
Now i got not less than 55 FPS with the offical 6071/9031 sets, I have Win2k, WinXP and WinME installt.

thats most unusual FPS scores !!! area, you should post this to either of them in the relevant driver section, you might get some feedback from them.

T2k more info please. How do you know? Do you know for sure? And finally the big question WHEN? Cant wait. Not that i'm complaigning about the 71 drivers. They work great, but improvments are always welcome. :-)

No one can really comment on the performance gains in the next driver release. The reason for that is because they haven't been released to the developers yet. The only way to get a hold of them is internally @ ATI.

Since they (ati) have not been releasing anything, what do you think the possibilities of some "super drivers" actually coming out. I am sceptical but I really find it hard to believe that we haven't got any real updates in some time. I know that there have been some but not real substantial updates...Thoughts MR. MAN...Candyman to be more correct.

So, who's working for ATI here? Anybody?? Come on...don't be shy
You know I have the feeling that all the rumors about the release date like they will release them during computex or they will release them only after nvidia releases Detonator 5 are completely off.

My guess is that the guy in charge of uploading the driver on the dev site has forgotten the password or he's on holiday...

Nah, old Vern just fell asleep in the basement again and no one has remembered to wake him up so he can code the new drivers. (Bet ya didn't know that ATI's entire driver department is a guy named "Vern" who hides in a basement office!)
