Problems Playing Streaming Video HELP!!!!

Okay I don't want to accuse omegadrivers of anything since they are just great. I just need to explain my story.

I updated to the recent drivers, 2.6.87 or whichever one it is. After my computer rebooted, the computer began acting sluggish and when i tried to manipulate the video card settings, the screen suddenly became distorted. I tried to reinstall the old drivers but same exact result. I then decided to uninstall the drivers and so now I'm using ATI drivers for now. Now whenever I play streaming video, the entire video is covered in a green mask and I have no idea what is wrong. I played saved video files using windows media player (the default player for the streaming video) and the video was just fine. Please help me!!

Thanks,
Chump

Correction: It seems to just happen for certain wmv files or something. I tried ebaumsworld.com but I get the green mask, but then I tried dumpalink.com and I'm okay...

Did you do a complete uninstall of your previous drivers (including running Driver Cleaner) prior to installing the new drivers? I have had the symptom of the screen becoming destorted after entering the control panel after installing a new driver. Usually it is due to a bad install or failing to completely uninstall the old drivers. My suggestion would be to do a complete uninstall (including running Driver Cleaner) and try to reinstall the drivers.

Yeah thanks. I figured the same thing. I knew I should have used DriverCleaner. The only issue i have then is that I have installed omegadrivers several times without using the drivercleaner. I have no idea why it didnt work this time. *shrug* If anyone can offer insight that would be welcomed.

Thanks.

Like I said earlier I too have experienced my screen going crazy (strange colored dashed lines all over the place) right after insatlling drivers (Omega or ATI) and adjusting my video settings. I would say this has happened maybe a total of 3-5 times over the past 3 years with various video cards, monitors, and operating systems. Every time it has happened all I had to do was uninstall the drivers, run driver cleaner again, and reinstall the drivers. Who knows exactly what happened? Maybe some files got crossed during install or did not get installed at all. I have just always chalked it up to computer gremlins and moved on

Gah... Okay same problem... I uninstalled everything, used driver cleaner, and it was working for a while. Now same problem again! What's wrong?!!?!??! I installed omega drivers after uninstalling all the drivers... I can't figure out what happened!

Edit: Figured it all out. Refresh rate was at 70 hz instead of 60 (I guess my monitor only likes 60)
