x800xl and COD2?
Is this thing good enough to power through COD 2 or should i be changing settings, i think i have most of the ATI CCC settings 1 click towards perf. and have all the "extras" turned off and other settings to normal or low, 1680x1050, trilinear and no AA... and i get >50 most of the time, but often its ~30 or lower
 makes babies cry and kittens squirm in pain, help me stop it  anyone running an x800xl - i have a 2.6 oc'ed to 2.9 1:1 @ 221mhz, 1 gb ram.. handels Hl2 no prob.. |

I've got a x800 Pro, which does 35-40 FPS mostly, but drops into the mid-twentys on two or three of the most hectic levels (there's a level in the Brit campaign where you steal a halftrack that chugs), and I'm at 1280x1024 with 8x aniso and high-detail settings.
I suspect that if we wait for Cat 5.11 and maybe the first CoD2 patch, there will be some improvements made, but I'm happy with CoD as it stands now... |
