Default Post ATI RADEON (7.70) Reference Drivers Released!

Ok I think these are new! well if there not am sure someone will let me know! LOL

I was just over @ ATI when I went to the POWERED BY ATI Driver section and I see they have RADEON (7.70) Reference Drivers! As I don't have an ATi card! I haven't been following the ATi driver releases but I think there new ?

New? nah, those are the 6071 for third-party cards.

ATI are really late on the new developers

might be due to the "imminent" release of the 250...

I wonder what the release number will be?
I think we should be hitting the 61xx

6043 = 5th March 2002
6071 = 11th April 2002

If they continue at this rate we should be at 6110 by now...

No, cuz remember the 3xxx drivers? They jumped all the way to like 6xxx. I think we're either gonna be seing 9xxx drivers or 12xxx drivers from what I've observed.

Hehe...

ATi uses a 'new' naming scheme now. For example, the 6xxx drivers are for XP.

Well these install without any problems on my Hercules 8500 LE and they seem the same as the normal 71 once.
