You right on I'd say. Could be a minor revision but much more likely its as
simple as it being made at another fab. Currently for example the are R480,
R481 known as X850. It likely just denotes where they where made. All
companies do it. With AMD XP's its the tint of the core, and you could tell
what factory it was made in by the slight color. hough I'm not sure how they
do it not that they use a hea spreaders on A64's but they do mark them.
TMSC hasn't been produceing enough and UMC has won the chance to win
orders from ATI. That would other wise would have been done by UMC. What
it means to us is thier makeing sure they have a good supply of cores, So that
we have a good supply of the cards.
