Mobile PhD is on a distinguished road

System restarts when I click the advanced tab!

Whenever I click the advanced tab under display properties->settings, the system restarts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had it with ATI drivers!!!!!!!!!!!! Well anyway here is my system:

SOYO KT400 Dragon Ultra
Athlon XP 2400
512MB
80GB
ATI AIW 9800Pro

I am running a fully updated XP Pro with the newest Omega drivers. The system seems to be stable, other than this problem. I don't really play games so I don't know if they work. I just would like to solve this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I wish all these ATI/VIA problems would just be solved.

System Specs

When did this start to happen?
Does it happen with other driver versions? You might try the official Cats. Also, you might check VIA forums for solutions, check your chipset driver version and BIOS version.
If anything is overclocked, return it to default clock.
Test your components one by one (CPU, RAM, graphics card).
You might also try the card on someone else's PC, or another card on yours.

Just started happening when I installed new Omega drivers. I had older Omega drivers before. If I tried another card in my system I know it will work. The problem is this ATI/VIA crap. But it worked before. Also, a new problem, my display clicked on and off a few times real quick, and now the video is real slow on just desktop apps.

If you don't play games much why do you use OmegaDrivers?

Try the stock ATI ones.
