DHzer0point Catalyst 0.58 Public Beta Release

Well guys, we know the 5.9's are right around the corner however with the recent changes in the team and lives, personal and business, changing servers we're not quite to the final stage on the 5.8's. We would however like to give you all the oportunity to play with our most recent build on the Catalyst 5.8 Drivers. You can consider these a very late beta stage build. Frankly ATI has really done a hell of a job recently on their driver releases and have almost completely rewritten them, they've added some really fun tweakable options changed things around and generally have just made the driver more fun, and more difficult to tweak

. We have lot's of plans for the Catalyst drivers, however our releases may be a bit slower than our nvidia releases simply because of all the things we want to do with the drivers. That said let's get on to the release...

-Based on The ATI Catalyst 5.8 Drivers
-COPP Disabled
-DHzp Video Acceleration Tweaks
-Rewritten Doom3 and HL2/CSS Autoexec
-Rewritten tweak code base
-New Installer
-New Author Jaime "Blackboost" Vazquez Everyone welcome him aboard he's done a great job with these!
-Radlinker Included Thanks to ChrisW for permission to use it
-Mobility support for all cards should be included, we don't have beta testers with every version of mobility cards so we have no way of verifying this. If the driver's will not install directly from our installer navigate to the directory you installed to and run the setup.exe from the Driver and the CP folder to install.

Known Issues
-Overdrive sometimes shows 0 degrees
-AGP Texture's greyed out in dxdiag in windows 2000, AGP texture acceleration works it's just greyed out.
-Flaky mobility installation at times

-F.E.A.R. Specific optimizations
-BF2 Specific Optimizations
-Squeeking out more performance and eye candy
-Modifications to the installer to further automate installation
-9800SE to 9800XT Mod included
-Work out mobility installation issues
-Taking over the world

As always we concentrate on IQ without loss of performance as much as possible. Benchmarks aren't our game, if you want 10 more points in 3dmark these drivers aren't for you, if you want your games to look great and play great without stability issues then I think you'll enjoy our drivers. Feedback is always appreciated so let us know your findings, we can't fix it if we don't know it's broken!

these drivers r sweet!!,iq and stability are great.keep up with the good work guys!!and the new hl2 autoexec really makes a good difference on my pc.im really proud of being a beta tester!

do these install on mobility or do they need pajak's mod to install... does pajak's mod even work with these??

3DMark05 has a lower score then the original 5.8's, but i'm now gonna test it in game, because that is what I am playing

so far so good. Teh installation went fine on my mobility 9000. Get a chance to run some HL2 and Guild Wars this tonight. Thanks guys for the drivers.

i can't wait to try them! I'm so glad that you're using radlinker instead of tray tools...I don't like att that much at all and it seems that all the modded drivers use it...

radlinker is no longer under development that is probably why modders are dropping it - poopy likes it and it still works fine so he is using it

. chrisw posted a thread in here a while ago about it and his reasons for quitting development. a big loss IMO but at least its still working !

I removed Radlinker, and continued using ATT instead (The lastest from ATT, which I used with the original ATi Catalyst 5.8), I still dont like Radlinker with the interface etc, ATT has much more options then Radlinker too...

I tried this set with BF2, and I must say that i'm impressed, very good fps

Ya I know and it's a shame (but understandable as well)...but I will be using it for as long as possible, and you're right, at least it adapts fine to newer driver sets

I like radlinker too, but I have to say, once I got used to ATT its pretty good also.

As for the zer0point drivers - I love the nvida sets, and I talked my mate into installing these for his X800pro. He was having some stuttering on battlefield 2 even with 1 gig of ram, and after he fired these up we both went "wow" in game the FPS isnt faster but the whole game is smoother and looks like the IQ is a little higher with the textures also.

These drivers rock, in fact this whole site rocks, so much happens on it and people (myself included) seem to take it for granted. brilliant reviews, good friendly mods, up to the minute news..... awesome drivers and fast downloads with no click here crap every 2 seconds.

Im making a donation and ill make sure my mate does as well, you just saved him money on memory for BF2

Also if you play guild wars they run quite well been playing with GW and them for a while. WoW also does quite well!

hmm then what can DH team do when 5.9´s are out and what more if Terry and CO made 5.8´s this good then..bbbrrr chills down me spines i will never go back to Nvidia since me 9800pro i´m ATI forever

ATT presents new features for driver and also it rocks.It's potential is hidden in his Plug-in support< It's missing part is to create a newer shortcut with tweak settings....But also Radlinker is a wonderful tweaker.It'll be better if it's developed

e: It's the firefox. There are even no release notes for the driver. With the IE a can see everything and all is fine!

Now i tested them a little bit with CS:S. All works fine. A little bit smoother. Also AM³ gave better result. Fine fine fine. Keep up what you are doing now!

You just need to force a refresh, firefox is caching the old HTML.
