Catalyst 5.8 released (and on DH a day before ATI.com)!

Well here you go another 24 hour exclusive from my good friends at ATI, especially for their favourite community Driverheaven.net !

Thanks to the very cool people in ATI.com they have agreed to let Driverheaven host Catalyst 5.8 CCC before they go live on www.ati.com on Wednesday.

This set weighs in at around 33 megabytes and is available from www.driverheavendownloads.net please be aware the demand for this set will be extremely high so if you are failing to get it from one of our 100mbit mirrors then follow the discussion thread into our forums for smaller mirrors which our very able community always provide. I also have set up a few small FTPs to help our community get and spread the set before ATI open their server farms tomorrow.

so get them from

www.driverheavendownloads.net and discuss in this thread, read the release notes below and be sure to discuss your findings regarding the newest OFFICAL drivers from ati.

There an idea get more people sign up Terrry Can you compress the drivers for 5.9 with 7z? maybe that be great idea for us dialup users because if goes beon 30megs it take me more then 2 hours get them

Thank you guys so much, you have just made my day

It really makes me feel special as a ATI customer having so much interaction with a developer of the hardware that im useing. Thanks Terry and Z for making this happen.

PS: God it took me forever to read through all the fixes and updates. It must have taken you guys forever to get this set done. hehe

PPS: Even though CCC is taking over at the end of the year, will there still be a way to use the old control panel through manual repacking of the drivers? It seems no matter how I try, I always have issues with useing a CCC edition.
