Even still, no custom resolutions with 5.7's.

Something seriously needs to be done about this. Ever since I bought my PCI-E X800XL, I have not been able to use any custom resolutions whatsoever. When adding the resolutions in powerstrip, the same way I added them on my 9800 Pro, I now cannot use the resolutions I used to.

This wasn't as big of a problem before so much that it is now. I recently bought a new LCD monitor, whose native resolution is NOT a standard windows resolution, and as such needs a custom resolution in order to run properly. Unfortunately, because ATI for whatever reason refuses to acknowledge the custom resolution bug, I cannot run my monitor in it's native resolution. Not to mention the other resolutions that I had complained about previously.

I suppose this is a small request to OmegaDrive to see if he could spend a little time investigating why ATI's drivers (since the 4 series I believe) have not supported custom resolutions for these PCI-E cards. There are many people out there who need custom resolutions in order to do their work, and now cannot. So if you could OmegaDrive, in your free time, please take a look at the custom resolution issue, and see if you can find out what went wrong. (And possibly fix it, so your next Omega release will feature the fix )

Thanks in advance,
Shmenge

I can quite happily add custom resolutions in powerstrip with both my PCI-e card and AGP one

Then it's an X800XL problem. I (as well as others) have not been able to add custom resolutions since the 5.2 drivers.

ok supposedly it seems as if its a DVI issue. When using the VGA cable on my new monitor it seems fine (my custom resolutions work but they are virtual, suppose its better than nothing), but with DVI the resolutions just give me a "Not supported" or "Out of range" error. The thing is I added resolutions the same exact way I added them with my AGP card, and it just wont work. I know both my monitors support the resolutions. The one resolution I seem to be having the most trouble with is that of (but of course) 1366x768. Which is obviously unsupported by ATI altogether. What bothers me is that I just bought this X800XL, and now with my new monitor, I might be forced to get an nvidia card. I just would like to get these resolutions to work with this PCI-E card, so I don't have to get a new one.

I'm useing a traditional 19" CRT monitor Can't really say much about DVI...
1366x768 is a very stange resoultion, not only is it non stand it doesn't fallow
the scale that all resoultions fallow ,Something tells me nothing supports it..

You useing CCC? (I doubt that) since you useing omega's, I stick with the
officals with CCC and try useing 1360X768

Nvidia supposedly supports the resolution. Which would mean I'd have to get an nvidia card, unless I can somehow get it to work with the omegas.
