[HELP] Permission for changing Ati 3D Settings
Hi all gurus of Drivers .
I have this question for you:
I have a non Administrator user on my Pc,
and i have to change the 3D settings with him.
But even if i change setting on Monitor->Proprieties->Advanced
(i have not the CCC), WinXP Pro cannot save it.
I think is a permission problem (my user is a Power User),
so what can i do? What file i have to permitt on writing?
TNX ALL Guys.

its registry entries you need to give permission for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ATI Technologies
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E968-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
and maybe also
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Video

Why you're not an admin account is weird...you should be unless someone doesn't like you.

This solution works!!
Thanks a lot. I've given permission
to Ati Technologies and to ATI Technologies Inc.
I think the Class entry is desk.cpl call. Isn't it?
EDIT:
another question, do you also know the Radlinker permissions?

the class entry stores your driver settings, the ATI Technologies one stores your control panel settings (i believe).
as for radlinker you should just need to give permissions for the ones i already mentioned.

RadLinker should work without the need to change permissions as it handles security itself.
