Catalyst windows x64 drivers feedback

For some reason not one driver released for x64 windows has installed correctly on my system.
When i start the installer it unpacks the files, and when it should start installing, the program just quits.
All i can do is then go to hardware manager and manually install the drivers then...

What hardware? Had no problems on my desktop (sig). Granted I am not running x64 for a few other driver reasons at the moment (all non-ATI related)

Are all your nForce drivers up to date? You have nForce3 at least :P. nForce 2 is Athlon XP chipset.

SO you get no error messages at all, it just quits?

I have the trial version installed on a second partiton so that I can poke at it with a stick
if need be but I've still not used it that much. I will get a copy assumeing it show up at
the local bokstore. Then if I can get a student to buy it for me, it's only $5

I installed it and all my drivers an updated all went well. That the last I did to it.
No decent anti virus, firewall, anto spyware etc... has me stearing clear for the time
being...

I must say i am pretty happy with my x64, it runs smooth, faster. The only drivers missing for my config are my printer drivers. Besides that i managed to get almost all drivers from the company's themself accept of my TVcard driver.
The "problem" i have with the catalyst installer aint really a problem cause i could install the drivers anyway, and i dont use the ATI controle pannel.
Just wanted to report the bug

nope, things work like a charm for me, the only real problem i can say is, that even though drivers are released, i find companies a little dubious to support 64bit. However this is getting better, ie ATI, drivers have improved drastically, however theyr not on par with the 32bit drivers.

Neway, i had no problems at all installing drivers.

I see now when u mention that, that when i start 5-6_xp64_dd_cp_23539\Setup.exe, it starts with the part where u can choose custom/normal install, then if u choose either one it quits, and in my believe tries to run 5-6_xp64_dd_cp_23539\Driver\Setup.exe and then it quits, cause when i just run 5-6_xp64_dd_cp_23539\Driver\Setup.exe it directly quits

ok i got it, its annoying about the rar thing but zips work.

edit: wow thats a big log. it looks like you ran the main setup not just the driver setup.
could you also put this in the exclude line (without the quotes)
"csrss.exe;svchost.exe;explorer.exe"
then just run C:\ATI\SUPPORT\5-6_xp64_dd_cp_23539\Driver\Setup.exe
once and send that log
