3286 (or the drivers that came on the CD) as I couldn't get them to install, even on a clean Windows install :/

Hi
In my own experience the worst drivers were the 3286 set-sure they ran Q3 fine but 4 games that I had at the time didn't run properly at all with them. These were: AvP2 MSFS2002 Soul Reaver Commanche 4 The drivers since then namely the 6000 series have worked just fine. just my 2 cents |

3276s that shipped with the 8500. I got my 64MB card as it came out, and as we all know, the first drivers are always the worst!

Definitly 3276. I had no Direct3D working with it....
6025 worked great in Win2K, in XP it wasn't as good.

3286, imo sucked worse than even the 3276 drivers (though I hated them both). with both of these drivers, my computer would reboot at random moments (even when the computer was not in use). When playing games, it would become more frequent. With the 3286 drivers, all the bright colors that ever came on the screen looked like little white pixelly areas (that pissed me off BIGTIME while watching movies).

I would say that for XP the worst ones are anything before the 6043's.

Also, are we talking about only 8500 drivers? or all radeons? cause the 6025's in win2k worked amazingly well on my old AIW Radeon 32DDR.
