Sad Windows XP and Radeon 9000 :(

Hi guys..
I've bought a Radeon 9000 non-pro, and I use Windows XP. NONE of the drivers I've tried did work (the one that came with the cd in the box, and the latest official catalyst from ati.com). The give a lot of problems such as a random rebooting, system crashes, ... I tried in windows 98 and it works great... Any help please?!!!
Thank you very much!

I've tried now the last beta catalyst (7.79) and It works better in windows XP (so far no rebootings neither crushes) but just works fine sometimes, cause other times the game graphics look (really) bad (pixels and textures).
Maybe when they release the final version they'll finally work but don't know.. anyobe can tell me anything?

Did you clean the system/Registry of all old drivers before you started?
What card did you have before this one?
You might need a reformat to get things back in shape...

Already solved the problem.

The card was bad so I got a new one. I got a connect3d RADEON 9000 PRO and now it works fine.
