Default Post Radeon 8500 Clocks speed confusion

I've just bought a retail HIS ATI 8500, I'm using Omega's latest drivers v1071. When I tried to OC the card with Omega's OC utility, the clock speeds I get is Memory clock 200 and Engine clock is 250. My card is suppose to be core 275 and memory 275 and with 400 RAMDAC. I'm not a very technical person, what is all this jargon and am I getting what I paid for? I tried reading the timings with Powerstrip and Rage3D Tweak and get the same clock timings. Plz help.

You got screwed. You bought a retail card from a non-ATI manufacturer, they can have whatever clock speeds they want.

If you want 275/275 either overclock it, or take it back and buy a real made by ATI board.

if powerstrip detects the card at those memory speeds its not a correct ATI retail speed of 275/275mhz ... this happens alot and personally I think this practice SUCKS.

I would take it back and complain loudly. I always stick with official ATI cards, you do pay more, but as you see, other manufacturers certainly dont play by the rules.
let us know what happens.
