MOHAA spearhead demo crash....
Well i thought that the leaked 6200 was going to fix things , it is able to run 1 mission at a time in battlefield1942, so i said to myself i'll try a newer game , i downloaded MOHAA spearhead demo. I cant even get past the EA GAMES screen then my machine just reboots by itself. Ah well guess there is still lots of work to be done. The readme of the demo says that ati radeon is supported....yeah right !

Jack, it sounds like you might have a temperature issue...
You might try blowing a household fan into your "open" case directly onto your cards and processor to see if this is the problem... Another thing that has been causing systems to crash lately is upgrading to the newer high end video cards (9700) and not having enough power supply. ATI recommends at least a 300w PSU, but if you are using an XP, or P4 processor, 300 watts is already bare minimum, heck 350 would probably be minimum on a system using XP, P4, AND a 9700.... You might want to check your PSU. (I'm currently using a 340w PSU, but as soon as my 9700 arrives, a 500 w will replace it) |

6200 drivers and rad 9700
i run spearhead demo with those drivers m8, no probs and i have a rad 9700 as well
