Tyan Thunder K7 2462 motherboard & ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128 Freez up

Hi

Is there any one using Tyan Thunder K7 2462 motherboard with ATI Radeon 9700 Pro 128 DDR?

My system hangs after 5 mins and i tried most latest ATI drivers in Win2K and WinXP. I got Thunder K7 2462 BIOS ver. 2.12d and using default BIOS settings to get it running. All above settings doesn't cure the problem.

Did anyone played Unreal Tournament 2003 with above confguration?? Please let me know it too.

I have already reported to Tyan about this problem. Just trying to get more people on the net so we can get fix for it.

If you are of those who are getting same problem like me please don't forget to share wealth of you skills with us.

Well I dont have this motherboard but ill run through the basic things like I normally would.

have you experimented with fast writes, agp aperture sizes, and driving values, ram timings etc... also to ensure no other possible problems could be arising, I would (if you are), lower all settings and not overclock.

yes, I am using BIOS defualt settings

AGP 64MB siz

got 2100 ECC Ram ( running without ECC option)

My m/board work on 4x AGP


Please help me guys! I got 3 customers awaiting and wated to use This m/baord and ATI 9700 pro card. I have tested 3 ATI 9700 pro cards in 2 different Thunder K7 2462 m/board and got same problem. I think it's BIOS or ATI 9700 pro.

Make sure you don't have any other device sharing the gfx card IRQ - sound cards seem to be the most common culprits.

Fixed problem with my Tyan Thunder K7 2462!
I applied many different driver but this one is ROCK the ATI driver World. Very stable and very imressive results in UT2003

I am very happy to see my ATI card in full action.
