Problems with the radeon 9600
Hello Helpers!
I got a problem with my graphic card. I use a powercolor radeon 9600 PRO EZ with 256MB and an asrock K7S8X-mainboard. I already uninstalled the old driver with cab cleaner and installed the latest omega-Driver, so it is further with the BIOS(version 2.6)! Unfortunatly i still can`t turn on AGP in the smartgart, it`s always on OFF, i tried to use several BIOS-options (AGP: auto, 4x or 8x, fast write: enabled/disabled) but that doesn`t works. Perhaps anyone can help me! |

re-install youre chipset drivers... or the latest if you have them.

i installed the new AGP-chipset driver, but it`s still doesnt work! SMARTGART wants to test the AGP, but after that sets it back to"off"!

give drivercleaner a try.read the instructions(in the read me)before using this app.
ps.moved to radeon drivers for better support there. |

i already used driver cleaner, and re-install the driver, but nothing changed ...

is your ATI mobility or not? I suggest uninstalling the Omega driver as it says in http://www.omegadrivers.net/ati/ati_faq.php, after you restart your pc your Monitor Adapter should be standard, its not supposed to show any ATI 9600 etc. Then download the latest ATI Display Driver from www.ati.com or from your Computer or laptops driver web site and after installing the ati display driver, install the new Omega driver the one you want. Try that and post what happens. Good luck!
