Texture corruption on Chronicles of Riddick

Not sure whether this is a driver issue or a hardware issue. I installed Riddick a couple of weeks ago and been playing it off and on. Everything was fine until last week when I got texture corruption. Its so bad that I cant even see the writing on the cube. It happens every single time I try to play it. It does not effect other games though. I play HL2, CSS and NFSU2 and they all ran fine without a problem. I think the corruption started during the time I tried to overclocked the graphics card and/or when I installed Unian drivers. I cant remember after which one it started. Could be both. I am now using Omega's lastest drivers and still getting the corruption.
When I overclocked my card, I ran ATI tool to find the core and memory. Both times it wasnt running more 5-8 minutes each. My card is back to stock speed. Could I have damaged the card? If so surely there will be problems with all the games and not just Riddick?

I'd back up my save games and uninstall / install again. Should fix it right up.

If that didn't work I'd panic and have a hissy fit. But that's just me.

It's a driver/game issue. I'm also playing this game and have texture corruption with the ATI Catalyst drivers. Black texture flickering, black lines.. Hope this will be fixed in the CAT 5.0 divers or they release a patch for this

hummm I have not tried the game yet but I have heard it's not too bad, I will have a look and see if I have any issue's. I wont be able to discuss which driver I am using of course but I can say it's a bete set

Yes this was one of the best games of 2004. A real fun game to play with a good story line, good voice acting, good graphics and a high fun feeling

. I don't know why this game isn't mentioned in the best games of 2004..

Thats what I got as well. I didnt have this problem when I was using Omega's version of 4.12 beta. Only Unian and Omega's 4.12 final release.

Using Omega's 4.12 finals and no probs with the game what so ever. Might want to tinker with Shader settings. With your card the game should default to 2.0 Auto. Check out the game menu and see what it's set at. Try 2.0 instead of Auto.

Problem is that the texture corruption is so bad that I cant see the words on the cube to try the shader settings.

Then I'd uninstall the game like Pluvious recomended. Wouldn't bother with the save games either. Just start over

Well I uninstalled the game and installed it back again and I am still getting the texture corruption.
This is not a hardware problem is it?

Maybe one of the install disc's is bad. Take the game back and get a replacement.

Asfar as i know this is a Game issue, and a patch should fix this

Thing is I played the game for a week without any problems. Everything was running smoothly. So I doubt its the disc problem.
