DVD video with ATI Radeon IGP 320

I have a problem with watching movies with the v11 omega driver. It would freeze up or run slowly. I have a Gateway laptop with AMD XP-M 3000+ 512MB RAM with the Ati IGP video card. I can't find a way to update the BIOS because Gateway support sux really bad. So, what could I do??

I have the same problem, with any video file.. (.wmv, .mpg, etc). the sound works fine, but the video is slow and choppy. Games and everything else work great.

Lots of people are having this problem with more recent modded Catalysts or Omegas. Only solutions are to turn off WMV acceleration (which no one can find the option to do), or install the laptop manufacturer's latest driver.
