Konami Silent Hill 4 the room Demo
Yeah, i downloaded and installed Konami Silent Hill 4 the room Demo; everything worked until I "play" the game ... after "New Game", dialogue and stuff, i tried to move the character around, it booted me back to desktop.
Anyone have this problem? I have a Radeon 9000 Pro, running Cat4.12 official. |

Silent Hill has always had problems with audio and video codecs. If you have any installed, you can try removing some and see if it works after that.

I had the demo keep rebooting on me with unian, omega, and the official cats. Tried anzaks, and it ran for 10minutes before rebooting as well.
While it may be that the codecs are the source of the problems, I monitored the temps, and my card was heating up a lot with the demo. So I took off the side panel of my case and was able to finish the demo. I think the cooler temp stabilized the card to recover from any codec conflicts instead of locking up. Try it. |
