WHITE Screen at boot

Hi all,

got a strange problem since my first boot today. My Desktop won't appear, even the welcome screen doesn't, my screen just stays white (Yes, you're right, it's WHITE) and I can see nothing but the cursor. Don't know how it came to this, I have installed the new omegas for a few days now and got no problems at all. Just installed ICQPro 2003b yesterday, played CS:S, shut down, booted up my pc today and there it was: nice fluffy snowy pure white. Booted up in safe mode, removed ICQ from autostart, booted up again, again white, again safe mode and removed omega drivers. Booted up, and what pleasure, I saw my desktop again. So, installed omegas, rebooted, saw the desktop, launched ICQ, played CS:S again, everything fine, went away and shut down the pc, came home, booted up and saw, guess what i saw... WHITE. So, safe mode, deinstalled and reinstalled omegas in normal mode. And thats where I am now. Beeing scared of shutting down or rebooting, I'll wait to get some help from you guys and play some CS:S

Oh, and my system specs are:
XP 3200+
Abit NF7-S 2.0
1GB TwinMos
Sapphire 9800Pro 128MB
WinXP Prof. SP2

I have excactly same problem with 4.12b omegas!

My computer specs:
AMD Athlon XP 2600+
Asrock k7s8x mobo
Sapphire Radeon 9800 pro 128MB

The problem seems to be the Radlinker version included in Omegas 4.12b package! Re-Installed the drivers again, because of white screen, but this time without RadLinker and wow, now it works

Now using ATI Tray Tools and everything's fine.

cool, glad you solved it, i havent installed the 4.12b's on my other machine which is basically identical to yours (minus the ram) so i havent come across the problem as of yet.

but thanks for the heads up! seems to be a common problem with the sapphire 9800pro's, altho its perfect on this pc which has the XT version

I can't live without radlinker.

So I will wait new radlinker and stay with omega 4.11b.
