Omega just posted this updated on his site.

First, I would like to take this time to apologize for the lack of ATI drivers updates, I have been some time out of the Internet organizing my real life and wanted to take a break and rest from all of this, since is really tiresome to make all this work in the drivers plus offer support to many people at the same time while trying to maintain a normal life/work to pay my bills.

Second, I have taken also this time out of the driver scene to play some games for the first time since May, I have been so busy with real life affairs and the drivers/site/support that I had almost forgot my PC could play games . For those of you interested I have been playing World of Warcraft since open beta, now I have the retail version and enjoying every bit of this wonderful MMO game, if you wish to join me in my adventures I am located in the Pacific Zone, Lightbringer server, I have created a guild named "Keepers of the Flame" and my character (a Paladin) goes by the name of "Omegadrive".

Third, I'm back working on the drivers, the next set will be released this week if I don't find any problems with them and they will be based on the beta 4.12 drivers by ATI.

Stay tuned!

dam, he should just forget about the beta 4.12`s and waiting untill ati Fix the HL2 problems first when they release there new set VERYVERY soon then omega can release based on the new set.

it would save a lot of time, if he does release 4.12 i wont be installing them becuse of all the HL2 crap .

flashing textures, dwarfed graphics, ranbow, flashing weapons, ect ect ect

what would be the point.

Based on 4.12beta? Come on, the 4.12 official should be like a week away... Not that it matters anymore to me, just ordered a 6600GT (sorry ATi).

The "point" is that far more people can play HL2 perfectly fine, so these drivers would benefit them.

And has ATI said that the official 4.12 drivers would fix the problems in HL2 some users are having? Most beta drivers are extremely similar to the final versions because of the large lead devs have in developing driver sets. I wouldn't be surprised if the HL2 problems weren't solved until Catalyst 5.00 or 5.01

I can't blame him for taking the time to play some games. I frequently forget to play game myself from all the testing I do. It's nice to sit down and play some HL2.

Will his drivers improve game performance overall? Is it just for Half-Life 2?

Hi Omega,

nice to hear from you .. hoping you have a nice time enjoying the Reallife and Games .. we're still waiting for the final beta of WoW in germany and it's retail at the begin of january

We also tested WoW in the US Beta on server 15 for a while and I think, it's the best MMORPG there ever was available - enjoy it ... I can't join your guild, cause we have to play in europe if available .. but no matter .. we play horde

so let'S say ... Welcome Back, Master of all Radeons

I thought you guys (omega, chrisw, catalyst maker and others) play all the time. Play for 2-3 hours, make a change on the driver, play another 2-3 hours to check it it's better, make new changes and so on for like 8 hours a day
I never thought it's their hobby and not their job (except catalyst maker, it is his job, isn't it? )
