Problems with my ati mobility 9600

hello

i have problems with the newest omega drivers. i have an ati mobility radeon 9600 with 128 ddr ram.(ramdac 350mhz bios:008.011.001.014)

i have installed the drivers (as its described in the drivers readme).
the problem is that windows crashes after a time with a white screen and i dont know why
i have tried all settings for example fastfwrite off/on oder disabled/enabled pci/agp write functions ....
but windows also crashes.
than i reinstalled windows xp and the newest via chipset drivers and than the omega driver again but still the same problem.
i also tried the modded catalyst driver 4.12b there my system crashes with a black screen

can anyone help me??

Do you have the same problem with the stock driver provided by your notebook? If so,there may be the problem of the memory.Use MemTest86 to check if the memory is faulty.

hey man, got a mobility 9600 as well, had to resort to stock drivers after a similiar problem and I even tried Patje's mod as well, no go, I switched back to stock drivers and the problem was resolved, my TFT just couldnt handle the resolution and clock changes...oh well, I am not a gamer anyway..lol
